What is MyMedicare?

What is MyMedicare?

A Government Initiative for Better Healthcare

MyMedicare is a voluntary patient registration programme introduced by the Australian Government. It was developed in response to the Strengthening Medicare Taskforce of July 2022, which identified the need for stronger connections between patients and their healthcare providers.

The programme aims to formalise the relationship between you, your general practice, and your preferred GP. Research consistently shows that patients who maintain ongoing relationships with their general practitioners experience better health outcomes over time.

At The Madison Medical Practice Hornsby, we encourage all eligible patients to consider registering. This simple step helps us deliver more coordinated, personalised care tailored to your individual health needs and goals.
