Amy Zheng, Credentialled Diabetes Educator, has been recognised as the Early Career CDE of the Year 2025 by the Australian Diabetes Educators Association (ADEA). Announced on 21 August 2025 at the Australasian Diabetes Congress, this prestigious accolade honours Amy’s exceptional dedication and innovation in diabetes education. About Amy Zheng, Diabetes Educator

With a career spanning since 2007 in chronic disease management, Amy brings both expertise and empathy to her work. Fluent in English and Mandarin, she empowers adults living with prediabetes, type 1, and type 2 diabetes through:

  • Personalised, practical self-management strategies
  • Guidance for individuals using insulin therapy, including insulin pump therapy
  • Skilled support with diabetes technology, including continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) and smart insulin pens

In addition to her clinical practice, Amy contributes to advancing diabetes care education as a coordinator and lecturer for the Postgraduate Certificate in Diabetes Education and Management at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS).

Amy provides consultations across four North Shore locations of Madison Medical Practice and is available fortnightly on Fridays.
