Billing

This Practice is predominately a Medicare Bulk Billing Practice” for all General Practitioner Services. There are associated out-of-pocket expenses for vaccines, treatments including Iron Infusions, surgical procedures and dressings. Allied Health Professional consultations such as Psychology and Physiotherapy etc, does attract an out-of pocket fee also. Often these out-of-pocket fees can be reduced by claiming back the Medicare rebate via online claiming. For more information relating to these fees please speak to our friendly reception staff at the time of your booking.  In the event that you do not have a valid Medicare card please speak to the reception staff regarding our Private fees.


Appointments

It is highly recommended to book an appointment to see your doctor of preference. Due to the COVID pandemic, our Practice does not accommodate walk ins and we would appreciate a call prior to ensure you are seen as soon as possible.


Consultation

A normal consultation is 15 minutes. If you feel that is not enough time for you, please ask for a double consultation when booking your appointments.


Phone call to doctors – TELEHEALTH

Due to the high demand for appointments, it is rarely possible to speak to your doctor via telephone. The best way to make contact with your doctor is to make an appointment for a consultation, Face to Face or as a TELEHEALTH Consultation. As to the guidelines Teleheath Consultations have been approved by the Federal Government and are for existing patients of a Practice who have been seen at least once in 12 months.  For Patients with NO MEDICARE – Private fees will apply – please see the guidelines under our  “Billing” information. TELEHEALTH consultations do have a Medicare rebate and will be processed online by our reception staff.


Results

It is important that you make an appointment to discuss your results with your doctor. If your results are urgent, your doctor will call you directly. Results are not given out over the phone unless via a TELEHEALTH appointment . If you have any questions relating to your results, you will need to speak to our nursing team.


Referrals and Prescriptions

All referrals and prescriptions (new and repeat) require a consultation with a doctor.


Privacy

This practice is committed to maintain the confidentiality of your personal health information at all times. Your medical record is a confidential document. We are unable to give information about family members or other patients.

Fees

WE ARE PREDOMINATELY A MEDICARE BULK BILLING MEDICAL PRACTICE.

In the event that you do not have medicare, the following fees are charged for both F2F and Telehealth consultations .

Level B consultation (Standard): $80
Level C consultation (Long appointment): $100
Level D consultation (Extended appointment): $150

On Saturdays 1pm-5.00pm and during other after hours consultations the following fees apply for non-medicare patients for both F2F and Telehealth consultations .

Level B consultation (Standard): $100
Level C consultation Long appointment): $140
Level D consultation (Extended appointment): $160
