Dr Jesse Luo is a dedicated male GP who graduated from Medicine at the University of Newcastle with honours in 2012. Jesse has been appointed the Medical Principal of the Madison Medical Practice Hornsby and as he has shown true leadership to his medical peers. Jesse prides himself on quality medical care and is currently teaching the next generation of medical professionals these skills, at both undergraduate and postgraduate university levels. Jesse trained at Westmead Hospital gaining experience in Emergency care, Respiratory and Palliative Care medicine. He has completed the Diploma in Child Health in 2014, and gained a diverse range of experience during his rural General Practice training in Muswellbrook and in the Central Coast. Dr Luo is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin (可提供中文服务).

Denise is a General Practitioner who graduated from Medicine at the University of New South Wales with Honor’s in 2009. She has a wide spectrum of medical interests and prides herself to work through and solve complex cases. Denise trained at Royal North Shore Hospital in Oncology and Palliative care, which has enabled her to engage not only with her patients through this difficult stage in life but how this health issue affects the entire family. Denise is a Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners and has since completed a Diploma of Child Health to complement her interest in this field and is skilled in complex chronic illnesses, women’s health and aged care. Denise is passionate about delivering holist care to her patients and the extended family, focusing on good communication and patient-centered management. Denise is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese (可提供中文服务).

Dr Michael Shen is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, and graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine from Monash University and enhanced his knowledge by completing a Masters of Public Health from University of New South Wales. Michael’s medical training has seen him care and treat patients in a variety of Hospitals in Sydney, Melbourne, Warragul and Bathurst. Michael’s exposure as a Registrar in the specialty areas of Cardiology and Respiratory medicine has led him to utilise these skills now in General Practice.  Michael has a strong passion for Preventative Health Care with an aim to help all his patients achieve a well-balanced lifestyle. Michael performs foreign body removal, suturing and wound management.

Dr Jung-Yoon Huh embarked on her career as a pharmacist after graduating from the University of Otago in New Zealand.  Whilst she enjoyed the role of ensuring the safe use of medications and patient education, she realised her passion for more holistic, patient-centred care in the community.  Dr Huh returned to study medicine at the University of Sydney while raising a young family in 2007.  During this period, she experienced first-hand the importance of women’s role in supporting their families and community.  As a mother,  she was naturally drawn to paediatrics.  

After internship and residency at Westmead hospital, she undertook further training to complete a Diploma in Women’s health (DRANZCOG) and Children’s health (DCH).   She obtained invaluable clinical experiences at various hospitals across NSW but was ultimately attracted to primary care.  Dr Huh feels privileged to provide quality health care to patients and their families by incorporating digital health and technology in her practice. 

She provides a wide range of services in women’s health; shared antenatal care with Royal North Shore and Hornsby Hospital, insertion and removal of Implanon and intrauterine devices, cervical screening test, STI check and menopause.  She is also accredited for prescribing restricted medications to treat chronic hepatitis B. 

Dr Huh is a member of the Australasian Menopause Society and Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine.  She regularly volunteers in community work, especially for culturally and linguistically diverse groups.  She is fluent in Korean (한국어) and English.

In her spare time, she enjoys reading books with a cup of coffee, attending webinars (thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic) and driving her children to extra-curricular activities.

Dr. Kuldeep Sidhu is the Principal General Practitioner at The Madison Medical Practice. Kuldeep was born in Malaysia and studied undergraduate medicine in India at Manipal which he completed in 1981. Kuldeep returned to work in Malaysia for six years before pursuing post graduate studies in the UK and migrated to Australia in 1989, where he completed his registration and FRACP and commenced his professional career in General Practice. In 2002 Kuldeep established The Madison Medical Practice in Hornsby, with a focus to deliver the highest possible medical care for his patients. Kuldeep has a keen interest in Aged Care, Mental Health, Men’s, Women’s & Child’s Health.  His dedication and commitment over the years to his patients has shown that he is a well-respected empathetic Medical Practitioner within the Hornsby community. Dr Sidhu is fluent in English, Hindi, Punjabi and Bahasa Malaysia.

Dr Ying Yu is a fellow of Royal College of General practitioners, and graduated from the University of New South Wales and completed her internship and residency at Westmead Hospital where she gained experience in Emergency, General Medicine, Psychiatry and Surgery. Ying has since worked at Children’s Hospital at Westmead where she completed Diploma of Child Health, various practices including Laurieton, Springwood and Carlingford. Ying also values the teaching future GPs and has been an examiner for the Royal College of General Practitioners and took part as a GP registrar supervisor for GP Synergy, the teaching body for GPs for Australia. Ying thoroughly enjoys all aspects of General Practice, particularly the opportunity to being able to provide continuity of care for her patients and their families. Ying has special interests in women’s health, children’s health, and mental health and is fluent in Mandarin.

The Madison Medical Practice Hornsby welcomes Dr Sasirekha Wijayakumar a consultant GP to the Practice. Dr Kumar as she is commonly known to her patients, has been a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners since 2007 with over 20 years of experience in the medical field. She has experiences with Hospitals all around New South Wales including; Concord Hospital, Blacktown Hospital, Balmain Hospital, Canterbury Hospital and Rozelle Hospital. Dr Kumar has experience in being an examiner for the RACGP college and is passionate about inspiring and educating the next generation of doctors. Dr Kumar is equally passionate towards preventative health as she believes it is essential to support not only the physical, but the emotional well-being as well. Dr Kumar is fluent in English and Tamil and is a strong believer in continuous professional development in order to provide the most current and best practice for her patients. The Madison Medical Practice Hornsby welcomes Dr Lei Cao who will join the Madison Medical Consultants and staff in January after moving back to Sydney from Forbes, NSW.

Lei completed his primary medical degree in China and worked in two leading hospitals in Beijing for 6 years. He is passionate about medicine and achieved his PhD at Macquarie University in 2014. He then worked at Hornsby hospital for 4 years, and undertook GP training in rural NSW for a further 4 years. Lei and his family have now moved back to Hornsby and he looks forward to caring for the local community.

Lei prides himself on delivering the highest standard of medical care, and individualizes treatment plans to achieve the best possible outcome for his patients. Lei is interested in preventive medicine, mental health, and aged care. Apart from work, he enjoys family time, cooking, music, group sports and social activities.

Lei will start consulting on January 4th 2022, and will be working Monday to Friday, please speak to our reception staff regarding his consulting hours.

We welcome back Dr Madonna from her maternity leave to the Madison Medical Practice Hornsby. Dr Madonna is a female GP who graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2012. She worked in Queensland for 2 years before returning to NSW to train in Liverpool Hospital and Sydney Children’s Hospital. She undertook her GP training in Scone and the Central Coast. She is interested in various areas of medicine and community health. Madonna is fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Dr Jordan Summers is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, and obtained his medical degree at Sydney University. Prior to studying medicine Jordan worked in Outdoor Education and studied a Bachelor of Human Movement at UTS. Jordan completed his Internship and Residency at Hornsby Hospital where he gained experience in Emergency Medicine, General Medicine and Rehabilitation. Jordan thoroughly enjoys all aspects of General Practice, particularly the opportunity to being able to provide continuity of care for his patients and their families. Jordan’s special interests include family medicine, paediatrics, mental health, sports medicine and preventative care. The Madison Medical Practice Hornsby welcomes Dr Zhixin Ning to our team, as a GP Registrar from the 10th of February 2022. Dr Ning graduated from University of New South Wales in 2015 and worked at St George hospital before entering into the GP Synergy Training Program. She is currently completing her GP training and looking to devote her career in promoting quality family health and continuity of care to her patients.

Dr Ning enjoys caring for all age groups, from all cultural and social backgrounds. Her area of special interest is in Women’s Health and Paediatrics, helping families fulfill their full potential by promoting a healthy active lifestyle.

Outside caring for patients, Dr Ning enjoys travelling, exploring outdoors, playing badminton with friends and spending time with her family and pets.

The Madison Medical Practice Hornsby welcomes Dr Jennifer Brown to our medical team, as our new GP Synergy GP registrar for Term 2 2022. Jennifer starts her consulting in August 2022 and will be working full time until February 2023. Jennifer worked in a variety of health roles including nursing and public health, before embarking on a career in medicine. She has extensive hospital experience including two years at Hornsby Hospital working rotations in Emergency, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Palliative Care, General Medicine and Rehabilitation. Jennifer is originally from NZ, and outside of work she lives an active lifestyle with a passion for outdoor activities. Jennifer has special interests in children’s health, women’s health, mental health, preventative care and health education.
