Dr Anne-Marie Hutchinson is a registered clinical psychologist with a special interest in medical and health psychology. She has worked for over a decade in private practice as well as consulting in the hospital sector with assisting individuals with adjustment, coping and finding meaning in the face of chronic or terminal illness, injury or surgery, disability, and general mental health. She has experience in treating adults with depression, PTSD, anxiety, stress, trauma, pain management, grief, oncology, and psychological aspects of various medical conditions such as Diabetes and Parkinson’s Disease. Dr Hutchinson believes that psychological well-being and resilience means not only identifying what goes wrong for individuals from a psychological perspective, but also on what goes right with people, and how clients can be facilitated through the process of therapy to access their strengths and the resilient parts of themselves.
Training has included various modalities including evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), interpersonal therapy and mindfulness. Dr Hutchinson also undertook extensive training in psychodynamic psychotherapy and existential/Gestalt psychology as part of a D Litt et Phil program. She has presented research on resilience and psychological well-being at various conferences and training programs and has been published nationally and internationally. Overall, every client is unique and this uniqueness dictates what therapeutic approach is deemed most appropriate.
Dr Hutchinson is registered with AHPRA and holds a “clinical psychology” endorsement, is a Medicare provider and a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and International Association for Clinical Neuropsychotherapy (IACN).
Leesa is a Registered Psychologist, who trained at the University of New South Wales and Sydney University. She has extensive knowledge and experience in working with acute and chronic clinical Mental Health presentations, such as schizophrenia and bipolar, as well as with gambling addictions, anxiety, depression, trauma, parenting concerns and has experience in working with children, adolescents, adults as well as older persons. Her special interests are parenting interventions, attachment theory depression, anxiety, gambling and post natal depression and psycho-education.
Leesa is a Psychology Supervisor and mentors and teaches Psychology Interns. She works collaboratively, using a variety of therapy styles including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Solution Focussed therapy, Motivational Interviewing and strengths based therapy. Leesa’s approach to treatment is that is should be a collaboration, with the aim to assist the client to identify and build on their strengths to help them to live the fulfilling and value filled life they deserve.
She is a Registered Psychologist with AHPRA and Medicare and a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPI).
Amrit is a Clinical Psychologist who trained at Macquarie University and received her Clinical Masters from the University of Wollongong. She has also received specialist training in the treatment of anxiety and depression at the prestigious Beck Institute in the United States. Amrit has worked extensively with children, adolescents, adults and families presenting with a wide range of psychological concerns including; anxiety, depression, anger concerns, ADHD, Behavioural difficulties, Personality disorders and relationship problems. Amrit has also been responsible for the development and implementation of group-based programs for stress and anxiety.
Sonia is a Registered Speech Pathologist with Speech Pathology Australia after completing her degree at the University of Sydney. Sonia has extensive experience assessing and treating children of different ages with a range of difficulties including speech, language and literacy delays, stuttering, social skills and behavioural difficulties in both private practice and school settings. Sonia’s empathetic personality and passion for working with kids makes her an approachable therapist that both children and families enjoy working with.
Sonia also has experience seeing clients with additional needs. She has developed a passion for early language therapy with a particular interest in working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Sonia has been trained in various therapeutic techniques including Key Word Sign, Hanen Early Language program and the Lidcombe program. She utilises her clinical experiences and training to empower families to support and stimulate their children’s communication in natural settings. Gauri is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian specialising in South Asian Diets. She grew up in the country side on fresh vegetarian food and loved growing vegetables from a young age. She believes that healthy eating is possible in every culture and cuisine. Gauri is passionate about cooking from fresh ingredients and trialling various cuisines. She is a mother of a toddler and understands the challenges of cooking for a family with varying nutritional needs and tastes. Gauri has been working as a dietitian for 5 years and in private practice for 2 years. She enjoys working in a multidisciplinary team who are committed to holistic and preventative health. Gauri’s favourite thing about being a private dietitian is getting to know and help her patients from diverse backgrounds to love food and enjoy good health. Gauri has had experience in a major public hospitals and various nursing homes. Quincy is a Registered Podiatrist working in both public hospitals and in private practice. He aims to help clients of all ages stay active and on their feet by assessing, diagnosing and treating foot and lower limb problems. Conditions that can be managed by a Podiatrist include skin conditions such as corn, callus, wart, cracked heels, and tinea; nail conditions such as thickened nail and ingrown toenails; foot and ankle injuries including foot and ankle pain, sprains and fractures; pain in the legs, knee, hip and back due to poor biomechanics of the feet; and problems with gait including flat and high arch feet, bunions, and other toe deformities; as well as paediatric foot conditions such as Sever’s Disease and Osgood-Schlatter’s Disease. Quincy also monitors, diagnoses and manages foot complications related to medical conditions such as diabetes, including performing the recommended biannual assessments of diabetic feet, and managing ulcers and other foot related complications. He has a special interest using a range of evidence-based interventions to manage lower limb conditions. In addition to the traditional skin and nail care techniques, Quincy also performs minor surgical procedures for the management of ingrown toe nails as well as local anaesthetic injections for management of certain painful conditions. He is also interested in the prescription and manufacturing of orthoses (shoe inserts) for the treatment of a range of foot related conditions, in conjunction with other therapies such as taping and exercise. Jessica has been a practicing Physiotherapist enjoying both private practice sports therapies and general practice to provide patients programs to assist with muscular strength and rehabilitation. She has a special interest in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and applies best practice/ evidence based approach to treatment; incorporating Individualised and patient centered care. Jessica is passionate about health care and fitness and has developed many skills working in multiple physiotherapy settings: Private practice, hospitals and occupational rehab. She has completed, Bounce Back lower back preventative core exercise training programs and the esteemed Professor Jill Cook’s Lower Limb Tendinopathy course and Sports Level 1.
